In a world that spins extremely fast, full of noise and voices with over productivity, shoulds, have to, needs to.  Do you remember who you really are? What do you want and need? What feels true, what brings you, Joy! 

In the middle of all the noise, all the chaos can you find your center, slow down and listen to the soft whisper of your soul's voice? Do you take time to just breathe and feel, time to let loose and dance to the rhythm of your heart? 

This is the place to come back home to yourself, back to your soul home, to find your own flavor of expansion, freedom, and joy. 

 

We use tools of movement and breath, Embodiment, self-inquiry, and self-reflection. Deep listening and support. To build a deep, loving, and intimate relationship with yourself. Fierce self-love, self-care, inner knowledge, healthy boundaries, empowerment, and expansion.

About My Approach

I'm not your regular coach. My approach is not to tell you what to do, or what to eat. I'm here to guide you into a journey of curious exploration. Connect to your body, aligned with the physical, mental, emotional, spiritual aspects of your body, so you can find the answers within your own Body Wisdom. So you can live a nourished, expansive, joyful life that you deserve.

  • Body: the material part or nature of a human being. The vehicle which we are able to experience life. 

  • Sofia:Latin, from Greek, from sophos skilled, clever, wise. Divine Wisdom.

BodySofia is the wisdom of your body. It is an invitation into a journey to go back home to your body. 

Reprogram your previous ideas about body image, worthiness, food and movement. 

Journaling: To open your heart.  Allow your mind to be the translator of your heart words. To go deep within and tap into your truth

Meditation/Breath:  Calm and soothe.  Return to your physical body, allowing the energetic body to recalibrate. Let the mind chatter rest for a moment, in order to come in touch with the truth within.

The Joy of food: appreciate and enjoy food. No constriction or restriction. Allow your body to experience and let you know what is nourishing and supportive. Be present and trust yourself around food. 

Movement: Trust your body on how she wants to move. Experiment and explore different modalities so you can find what feels good and supportive for your own body. 

Commit to trust your body. Connect with your body wisdom and experience life to the fullest in an open, loving joyful way.

My Story

I'm a diet, gym, trendy workout rebel. Why? Been there, done that. 

Since my teenage years I've put myself through all those modalities in order to achieve the right weight, the right body. That cycle created a disconnection from my body, placing me in a place of judgement, frustration, breaking my confidence. I was trying to fit a mold created by society that wasn't created for me. I felt so constricted and tired. It wasn't all about food and body image it was about dimming my own light and falling into the expectations around me. Where was the fun, the spark, the joy. 

So I moved away from all that and started to play and explore what felt truth and good for me.

In that journey I tried belly dancing, capoeira, kick boxing.  One day I said to myself "what if i start running? How hard can it be, I'll be on my own two feet" the motivation? I would get to do a 5k wearing a tutu and a tiara and that was fun! So I became a fun runner. I never run for a better faster time. I run to be out and free. To let my body take control and give my mind a break. I even completed 4 half marathons so far. I feel in love with Yoga and again not the yoga where you are twisted like a pretzel and stand on your head or almost fly. I feel in love with the moment of silence, spaciousness, communion with my body that yoga provided me. I'm learning about moving my body freely trusting that I will listen and flow as my body needs. I'm not pushing my body, my body is moving me forward making me more flexible, more strong, more free.  

As for food? Food is joy, connection and pure pleasure! I love cooking and experimenting with food. Food is not the enemy it is a playful, exciting friend.  Again I learned to listen to what tasted amazing and made me feel good afterward. 

Everyday I come back to my body; my home. Everyday I become more free, more myself and I want the same for you. 

 Personally I am a medical doctor, a health coach, reiki master,  qoya and wild soul movement student and a JOY seeker. 

I'll be so honored to be there for you as you take your own journey into listening and trusting your body wisdom.
